Finally stopped regifting those scented candle sets from my aunt (you know the ones)

I used to just stick them in a drawer and regift them the next Christmas (felt guilty but hey). Now I just tell her directly I appreciate the thought but I'm picky with scents, saved me from a 3-year cycle of lavender hell. Anyone else stuck in a regifting loop with a specific relative?

Three years with that mug? You two are more committed than most marriages I've seen. Next time just tell your aunt you've gone scent-free @zarar67, it's the only way out.

My cousin Matt somehow ended up with the same coffee mug from me three Christmases in a row before we both finally admitted we hated it and donated it together.
