Found out the average first date costs $97 in 2024 and I felt sick about my last one
My buddy sent me a survey from a dating app that put the number at $97 per first date in the US, and mine in Sacramento came to $140 after parking and two drinks. Makes me wonder if people set a budget before saying yes, because I definitely did not.

Ugh, $97 is nuts but honestly it fits everything else now. I paid like $60 for two coffees and a muffin last week and just stood there blinking at the screen. Feels like every little outing has turned into a big decision instead of just something you do.
