Just hit 500 miles on the Pacific Crest Trail and my feet are a different shape

Started at the Mexican border six weeks ago and my boots are now a full size too big. I didn't expect my arches to flatten out this much. Anyone have a good resupply spot in Oregon for wide trail runners?

My friend did the whole trail and her feet went back to normal after a few months off... it's just temporary swelling from all the walking. You should stick with your current size.

Honestly, have you considered your feet might just be permanently wider now?

Abby's friend might be the exception, not the rule. Ligaments stretch out and don't always snap back, especially after months of heavy use. It's pretty common for feet to stay a half size bigger after a long hike. Sticking with shoes that are now too small could cause real problems.
