Ah, this reminds me of my own ridge trail debacle. I once tried to look cool navigating a narrow section and ended up sitting down rather abruptly. Sounds like @wadec39's friend and I could start a club for dignified dismounts. Those unplanned descents have a way of teaching you more about balance and humility than any guidebook ever could. Now I actually seek out those tricky spots, just for the stories and the slight chance of another graceful collapse.
