Tried a broken link building campaign on some old tech blogs from 2018
I reached out to like 30 sites about a dead resource page and only got 2 responses, but one of those links still drives traffic 9 months later, so I guess quality beats quantity in a big way has anyone else had a random old link pay off way better than the new stuff?

I had a similar thing happen with a link from a 2016 gardening forum post. I barely remember doing the outreach but that one page still sends me around 50 visits a month. Its funny how the old stuff just sits there working while you chase the new shiny things.

Agree completely, it's wild how the random stuff you barely remember sticks around forever. I've got a few forgotten links from 2014 that still trickle in traffic like clockwork. Makes you wonder why we stress so much over the new stuff when the old stuff is still quietly doing its job.

Rose's 2016 example is actually 8 years old now, not quite a decade yet but getting there.
