But honestly @the_jana, I'd argue those 12 backlinks could actually hurt your site since Google might see it as spammy link building if they're all from the same source (especially if it's a low quality blog). Quantity doesn't always beat quality when it comes to backlinks, a single strong link from a well trusted site can do way more for your rankings than a dozen random ones. Sometimes less is more, you know, even if it feels great to see those numbers stack up at first.
