Spent $150 on a niche directory list, did it pay off or was it a waste?
I bought a curated list of 150 niche directories for $150 last month, half were spam or dead, but the other half gave me 12 solid backlinks that boosted a client's local rankings, so is paying for lists ever worth it or should everyone just build them manually, what's your experience with paid directory lists?

Ugh, hit or miss is the name of the game. 12 decent links for $150 sounds like a fair deal to me, honestly. Your mileage may vary, but I'd say you got lucky.
