Just lost a solid backlink because I didn't check the site's history first
Last month I got a link from a blog that looked fine, but turns out it had been hit by Google's spam update 3 years ago and never recovered. The domain authority dropped hard, and now I'm stuck with a bad link in my profile. Has anyone else dealt with checking old penalty data before reaching out?

Domain authority dropped hard" is an understatement man, that's brutal lol. Three years is forever in SEO time, I'd be sick finding out I grabbed a link from a site that got nuked that long ago. Gotta start running everything through Ahrefs or SEMrush history now just to be safe.
