Just got my first guest post accepted on a DR 60 site in 8 months
I've been pitching this one food blog since March, about 14 emails total. Finally sent a draft about local sourcing with real data from my own kitchen costs. The editor replied in 2 days and asked for one small edit. I'm curious, how many pitches do you all usually send before you get a yes?

You track reply rates at all? For me it's usually 10 to 15 pitches for every yes, so you're right on track. Once you get that first one in, the next ones come faster, editors start recognizing your name.

Honestly, is it though? Feels like a lot of guesswork and luck. Maybe you just caught a good editor that day.
