I always thought guest posting was dead, but a site owner proved me wrong

For years I swore guest posting was a waste of time. I had tried it back in 2018 and got nothing but low quality links from spammy sites. Then last month a site owner reached out about my blog and offered a spot on their .edu page. That one link brought in 30 referral visits and a nice bump in my domain authority. Has anyone else had luck with guest posts lately or am I just an outlier?

Yeah that .edu thing is key. A friend of mine got on a university site last year and it was way better for traffic than any regular blog post she'd done. The trust factor with those domains seems to still carry a lot of weight.

Oh seriously? Did her university post actually rank for competitive keywords or was it just easier to get traffic for niche stuff nobody else was writing about?
