Doodled a site owner's puppy and got a backlink for it
I noticed a blogger wrote about their new dog in a post. I sketched the pup and emailed it with my link ask, and they put my link up right away. Have you ever tried something goofy like that for a link?

You ever see those stories about people doing wild stuff for links, like baking cookies shaped like a company's logo? I read about it in some marketing newsletter, forget which one. That puppy sketch is totally in that same fun zone. It just proves a personal touch works way better than another boring cold email.
