Changed my mind about PBNs after a Google penalty scare

I used to think private blog networks were the fastest way to build links. Then a buddy of mine lost 80% of his traffic after a manual action in June. I moved to guest posting on real sites and my rankings are finally stable.

His buddy could've just had weak links, not a PBN problem.

Yeah "weak links" isn't always the problem though lol. Sometimes people just build bad PBNs with expired domains that have no real authority or get nuked by Google in the next update. It's all fun and games until your money site takes a hit because you went cheap on the network.

Yeah "go cheap on the network" hits different when you've been burned by expired domains yourself.
