Vent: dessert menu printed my date's name wrong, she thought I set her up
Last Friday at a place on Market Street in Philly, the waiter brings over the check and it's printed "For Karen and guest" except my date's name is Karey with a Y, not an A. She goes quiet, stares at me, then says "did you tell them my name was Karen on purpose?" I was too stunned to explain and just pointed at my receipt. The manager came over, apologized, but she was already doing the polite smile thing. Has anyone had a simple typo nuke the whole vibe? How do you even recover from that?

Was her name actually Karey on the reservation, or did you book it under something else?
