The 'Oops Wrong Table' trick I use to test date chemistry now
I used to sit through the whole meal even when the vibe was totally dead, just staring at my soup. Then I started doing this thing where I'll excuse myself to the bathroom and walk back to the WRONG table on purpose, like I'm confused. If they laugh and wave me over, the date feels safe and playful. If they just stare at me like I'm a weirdo, I know I'm done. Has anyone else tried something goofy like this to break the ice or am I just making it worse?

Honestly I used to think gimmicks like that were just overthinking it, but this actually sounds kind of genius. It’s a low stakes way to see if they’re down to laugh at themselves, and that says a lot more than small talk does. Maybe I’ll steal this next time, idk.
