That Italian place on 6th st ruined my date last night
Took a girl to Angelina's Ristorante downtown. Thought it would be romantic. Waiter kept calling me 'buddy' and she ordered the spaghetti. She twirled it so loud the whole table looked. Then she got sauce on her white shirt and blamed the cheap napkins. Has anyone else had a restaurant totally kill the mood?

Man, you should've just picked the burger place next door.

My friend Jenny ended up at a place like that last summer in Austin. She picked the fancy spot with the weird small plates because her date talked her into it. They spent like 80 bucks on these tiny portions that looked fancy but tasted like nothing. She said he kept looking at the menu like he was sorry he suggested it. She ended up stopping at a taco truck on the way home just to feel full again.

Wait was @black.pat right though? Did her date actually try to steer them to the burger place but she insisted on the fancy spot? I mean, I've been in that situation where you want to impress someone and you pick a place that's all vibes and zero substance. Then you're both stuck staring at a $16 plate of three sad little ravioli while the taco truck across the street is calling your name. Did she ever tell the guy she snuck out for tacos later or did she just let him think they had a romantic meal?
