That date where I spent the whole dinner talking about earwigs

I went out with this girl from a dating app last month at a pizza place downtown. She asked what I do for work and I mentioned pest control, then I spent like 20 minutes explaining how earwigs actually don't crawl into people's ears at night. She just stared at me the whole time and finally said "so you're like a bug salesman?" and I knew it was over. Has anyone else had a job that totally kills the vibe on a date?

Wait, wasn't she the one who asked about your job in the first place though? Sounds like she just wasn't into you and used the earwig thing as an excuse.
