Shoutout to the pre-smartphone era of dating mishaps

Back in the day, I had a date where we both showed up at different places because of a mix-up with directions. We had to call each other on payphones to figure it out. By the time we met, the mood was already ruined. These days, a quick text or map app would have saved the night. Makes you appreciate how easy some things are now.

My cousin once got lost for two hours trying to find a diner without GPS. Now we avoid that stress, but we also miss the stupid stories that come from being totally clueless together. It's the same with everything, like how instant messaging killed the fun of waiting for a letter. The easy fix is great, but the old messy problems gave us something to LAUGH about later.

Funny thing, but those old mess ups often made for a better story later... maybe even a real bond. Now, a wrong turn is fixed in seconds, but you lose that shared, dumb adventure. The stress of a confused meet up forced you to problem solve together right away. These days, the stress is different... overthinking every text, getting ghosted, that awful feeling of waiting for a reply that never comes. The old problems were simple and outside us, not this constant mental game.

Waiting an hour in the wrong spot wasn't fun bonding, just pure frustration lol.
