Sat through a 3 hour date where she only talked about her ex

Met this girl at a coffee shop in Portland. Seemed cool. 30 minutes in she starts telling me about her ex's dog. Then his job. Then his apartment. I counted 42 times she said his name before the check came. I just sat there nodding. Paid for both drinks out of habit. Walked her to her car and she asked why I was so quiet. Has anyone else had a date turn into a therapy session for a stranger?

42 times is wild, that's basically a podcast episode about a guy you never met. Next time just count how many times she checks her phone, way more honest signal.
