Read my date's group chat by accident and now I'm second-guessing everything

I was at a coffee shop with this girl I met on Hinge and she left her phone on the table while she went to the bathroom. A message popped up from her friend that said "is he still talking about his job?" and I could see the whole conversation from the lock screen. Her friend was like "he seems boring" and she replied "yeah but he paid for the coffee so whatever." I felt like such an idiot sitting there. Has anyone else caught a glimpse of what their date REALLY thought of them?

Wait, you saw that on her lock screen? That's brutal, man. I used to think catching a glimpse was harmless curiosity, but this totally changed my mind. Seeing something like that would wreck your confidence, especially when you felt like things were going okay. It's one thing to joke about dates with friends, but seeing it in real time like that is a whole different level of humiliation. Honestly, she sounds like she wasn't that into you from the start, which sucks but at least you found out early. Better to know now than waste more time and money on someone who doesn't appreciate you.

Wait did she actually have a convo with her friend about it on the lock screen while he was still there? That's some next level cold behavior. I remember once I was at this dive bar and this girl kept checking her phone every 2 minutes, totally obvious. Eventually I just leaned over and was like "you expecting some important news?" and she tried to play it off but we both knew. Worst part is I still bought her a drink after that cause I was too awkward to just leave. Some people just have no clue how to be decent to others on dates, lock screen or not it's just rude.
