PSA: The new rooftop bar on 5th has a serious vibe check problem

Took a date there last Friday because the photos looked great. The place was packed, but they sat us right next to the only speaker, a giant one blasting house music. We literally had to yell to hear each other from two feet away. I had to ask for the check after 45 minutes because my voice was gone. Has anyone else had a date ruined by a place being way too loud?

Totally get that. Ruins the whole point of going out to talk to someone. Makes you wonder if these places even test the sound levels with real people sitting down.

Honestly makes you wonder if it's on purpose. Some spots seem to design the vibe to keep tables turning fast. If you can't talk, you won't stay long, and they can seat the next group waiting by the door. It's a business move disguised as atmosphere.
