Hot take: I don't think a date asking about marriage is always a red flag.
I went to dinner with someone in Boise, and over dessert she asked, 'So, what's your five year plan, including marriage?' Everyone says that's a huge warning sign, but I liked her directness. Has anyone else had a blunt question that actually worked out okay?

My buddy got asked on a first date if he wanted kids, like right after they ordered. He said yeah, and she was relieved because she didn't want any. They're still friends, and it saved a lot of time. I see what @ryanburns means about honesty.
