Everyone says you should split the bill on a first date, but my wallet disaster last Friday changed my mind.

What exactly happened with your wallet? Did they order a ton of stuff or just skip out when the check came?

Had a friend who went on a date last month and the guy ordered two appetizers, an expensive bottle of wine, and the priciest steak on the menu. She got a salad. When the check came he said "we can split it" with a straight face. She paid for her salad and left him with the rest. He called her twice the next day, she never picked up. Last I heard he was still complaining about it on his dating profile.
