Wasted 2 days on a wiring chart that was 3 years out of date

I used to grab any maintenance manual I could find and trust it for avionics wiring. Changed that last month when I spent 48 hours tracing harnesses on a 2018 King Air only to find the schematics were from 2015. The shop foreman said 'always check the revision date' like it was obvious. Now I only work off the latest digital copies from the OEM site. Anybody else get burned by old wiring diagrams?

willow407 said "always check the revision date" and I laughed because I literally JUST fell for a blog post about "new study changes everything" and it was from 2019. Like thanks internet, now I'm three years deep into outdated diet advice before I realized the "news" was older than my phone. It's ALWAYS the ones that sound too exciting that are secretly ancient. I now check dates like a maniac, even on recipes. The other day I almost made a "trending" pasta dish from 2014. EMBARRASSING.
