Tried using a digital multimeter to check bond resistances on a 737 last Tuesday

Got readings all over the place until I realized my test leads had a flaky internal connection, so has anyone else had cheap test leads screw up a whole afternoon of troubleshooting?

Hah, nothing like hunting ghosts in the machine when the ghost is actually just a bad wire in your hand. Nothing like a multimeter that technically works but lies to you.

Oh totally @derek_schmidt6, nothing says "I'm a professional" like trusting a meter that's gaslighting you (and the wires).

The real trick is when the meter works fine but you're testing a bad ground that's only acting up under load... nobody ever checks for that.
