TIL most guys swear by Fluke meters but I went with a Brymen instead

I picked a Brymen BM867 over a Fluke 87V after my old Fluke 179 died on a job in Denver. Two years in and it's held up fine, even passed a calibration check last month. Anyone else run a non-Fluke and regret it?

and how about that calibration process though, did you have to jump through hoops to find someone who would touch a Brymen for calibration? I've heard some shops won't even look at anything other than Fluke or maybe Keysight, so I'm curious if yours was a pain to get sorted or if you found a place that just handled it no questions asked.

Got a buddy who bought a Brymen BM869s and took it to a local cal shop that usually only does Fluke. They took one look at it, laughed, and said they'd calibrate anything as long as he paid their minimum fee which was like 80 bucks. So he left it with them and picked it up a week later with a cert, no hassle at all.
