Stopped fighting with that old radar altimeter after a 30 year tech showed me to check the waveguide pressure first

I spent 3 weeks swapping boards on a bench in Columbus until a retired guy walked by and said the pressure switch was sticking, and sure enough 15 minutes with a multimeter and a can of contact cleaner fixed it.

Sticking carburetors, sticky pressure switches, sticky anything keeps the whole world running slow.

...or maybe it just feels that way because we're all addicted to instant results. I've got a 20 year old snowblower that sticks a bit when it's cold but runs fine once it warms up. People act like a little bit of sticky is the end of the world. You can just spray some carb cleaner and move on with your day. Half the time it's just some dirt or old gas gunking things up, not a mechanical meltdown. Seems like a lot of drama for something that usually just needs a quick clean.
