Old school crimp tools still beat the new digital calibrator

I've been doing harness rework for 13 years now, and I noticed the biggest change back in 2019 when we switched to calibrated crimp testers on the floor in Phoenix. The new unit flags way more failures than the old go/no-go gauge ever did, but half those flags are on lugs I've been installing the same way for a decade without issues. Is anyone else seeing false positives with the digital gear, or do I need to just accept the tighter spec and redo my technique?

That tighter spec is just liability lawyers covering their ass, not reality.
