Hit my 1000th harness repair today, never kept count until now

I've been doing avionics bench work for about 8 years now, mostly on older Cessnas and Pipers, and today I finished my 1000th wiring harness repair at the shop in Tucson. I only know because my lead started a log last April and we checked it after lunch, which felt crazy since I never really thought about the total. Anyone else ever track their repair counts or do you just let the memory foam over like I used to?

Noticing it hit 1000 makes me wonder about all the other numbers we never keep track of. Every connector I've cleaned and every wire I've spliced had its own little life before I touched it, and now it's just part of a total that didn't exist until someone decided to write it down. Same thing happens with stuff like how many cups of coffee you've brewed or miles you've walked in a year, you only see the big number when something forces you to add it up. The log is probably going to make me more aware of the next 1000, which changes how I work even if just a little. Funny how a simple count can do that.
