Had a nightmare week on a CRJ200 that made me toss my old crimp tool
Last Tuesday I was swapping a bad connector on the APU harness, and my old non-ratcheting crimper slipped twice. By Thursday I had three intermittent faults pop up on the same plane, all traced back to loose pins I'd crimped. I grabbed a Daniels AFM8 from the lead tech on Friday and re-did all three connections in half the time. Has anyone else gone through a string of bad crimps that finally made you upgrade?

My old non-ratcheting one almost made me strip a whole harness once, lol. Never looked back after switching to a ratcheting style.

Ratcheting is the only way to go honestly.
