Shoutout to the dispatcher in Ohio who found my truck with a phone call, not a load board
I used to post my car on those big online shipping sites and just wait for brokers to call, which usually meant 3 days of nothing and then a lowball price. Now I call a small dispatcher outside Columbus and he matches me with a driver heading my way in under an hour, sometimes for $150 less. Some folks say the load boards give you more choices and lower bids, but I've been burned twice by carriers that never showed. So which side are you on, the cheap online free for all or the guy who actually knows the drivers by name?
