The 7AM oil change at that truck stop in Flagstaff that rewired my brain
I was doing a quick lube on a semi trailer at the Pilot off I-40, and the owner climbs down and says, "You check the gladhands before you pull the pins?". I laughed it off, but then I thought about it and realized I'd been skipping the visual on the air lines for like 2 years on every rig. That one question got me to start a 60 second walk-around before any job, even on a simple Civic. Anyone else pick up a habit from a random customer that stuck for good?
Man, that is such a stretch. One dude asking a question and suddenly you act like you discovered fire? You probably would've been fine anyway, checking air lines ain't that deep after two years of muscle memory.
