Heading to the coast next month, any must-do checks for my hatchback?
In my experience, salt air can be rough on parts. What do you guys recommend I focus on, besides the usual oil change?

Wheel bearings collect salt and sand during coastal drives. This grit causes rapid wear if not cleaned and regreased regularly. What specific grease holds up best in those conditions?

Inspect the rubber seals on your doors and hatch. Salt air makes them brittle and they can start to leak. My cousin's car got seawater in the footwell because a door seal failed. Also, check electrical connections under the hood, like battery terminals and sensor plugs. Corrosion there can cause weird issues no one thinks about. A quick clean with a wire brush can save you a headache later.
