Stopped by a junk yard in Akron last Thursday
Saw a whole row of cars with cleanly cut roof panels. Someone's been practicing their structural sectioning. Has anyone else noticed more DIY guys trying to weld roof skins?

That junk yard in Akron is always full of weird finds. I dunno, maybe someone just got bored and had a good saw.

That first car in the row had the roof cut so clean it looked factory, like somebody used a plasma track saw on it. I've seen guys try this with angle grinders and it always comes out looking like a jagged mess, so that level of precision is wild. Can't believe someone's actually out there investing in the right tools just to practice chopping tops on junkers.
