Pro tip: I used to avoid bargain sanding discs, but a friend's fixer-upper changed my tune.
I thought only premium brands gave a smooth base. Seeing his results made me admit I was wrong about the cheap stuff.

Yeah but those bargain discs wear out crazy fast though. You'll burn through three cheap ones for every good disc that lasts.

For real, cheap sanding discs don't always die quick. My friend's fixer upper proved they can go the distance if you're not pushing too hard. It's often how you use them, not just what you pay.
