Pro tip: Factory paint on newer Toyotas is way thinner than I thought
I did a bumper repair on a 2023 Camry last week and sanded through to plastic way faster than I expected. My regular go-to grit sequence just blew right through it. I had to stop and re-prime the whole thing to fix my mistake. Compared it to a 2010 model I did a few months back and it's night and day difference. Has anyone else run into this with the newer cars?

Oh man, @the_kevin you're not wrong and it's driving me nuts. I bought a new toaster last month and the button feels like it's made of recycled yogurt cups. Even furniture these days is basically particle board held together with hope and bad glue. You can literally see the cost cutting everywhere if you pay attention. Appliances used to last twenty years, now you're lucky if they make it past the warranty period. It's like everything is designed to fall apart just in time for you to buy another one.
