My uncle said to always use a guide coat on filler, I finally tried it on a hood last month

He told me 'you can't see waves with your eyes, only with your hands and light.' Block sanded a quarter panel for three hours before, now I get it done in one. Anyone else have a simple trick that saved them a ton of time?

Ever try to cut drywall without scoring it first? @patricialee gets it, some things you just gotta learn the hard way.

Read an article once about muscle memory and how it works for stuff like this. Your hands just learn the right pressure after you mess it up a few times. Makes you wonder what other jobs have that one simple trick. Drywall and cooking are perfect examples.

Spot the same thing with cooking, you learn one basic technique that makes everything else easier.

Totally, @patricialee. It's like learning to properly hold a knife, then suddenly you're not scared of any vegetable lol.
