Hit 500 hours on my spray gun log and did not expect the number to bug me this much
I keep a little notebook in the booth where I write down the hours on my main gun, mostly just to track when to rebuild it. Flipped to a fresh page on Tuesday and the total came out to 500 hours on the same Iwata since I bought it in March. What got me is that 210 of those hours came in just the past 7 weeks, which tells me my booth schedule is way more packed than it felt. I did not think I was spraying that much, idk, maybe it just sneaks up on you when each job feels small. Curious how many hours you guys put on a gun before a full rebuild versus just swapping the needle and packing.
That "sneaks up on you" thing is real, my buddy swore he was spraying maybe 10 hours a week until he added up his log and it was closer to 30. He runs his Iwata to about 600 hours before a full rebuild, just needle and packing swaps in between.
