What's the best way to get through to someone convinced their way is perfect?

Holly420 asked about the biggest mess they've made. I was the same way starting out. I thought my quick way with the wrong size driver was fine until I completely stripped a screw on a customer's unit. Seeing that damaged part in my hand, and the extra two hours it took to fix my mistake, that's what got me. Sometimes they just need to see the result of their method right in front of them.

When you say convinced their way is perfect, what's the biggest mess they've made? Idk, maybe it's just me but that usually gets people thinking.
