TIL to check my focus before blaming the sky, after a night at Cherry Springs
Drove 4 hours to Cherry Springs State Park last month and every shot came out soft, so I figured it was just bad seeing. Turned out my focus ring had slipped about 2mm during the drive, and one twist fixed everything on the next clear night. How do you all lock focus so it survives the trip?

Does it really matter if it's just a focus ring that moved? Tape it down and move on. Not like you're launching a rocket, it's a lens.
