That $200 star tracker I bought off eBay turned out to be a scam

I picked up a used star tracker for astrophotography on eBay for $200, and it showed up with a busted motor that doesn't even track properly. After three nights of failed exposures, I had to send it back and lost $40 on shipping. Has anyone else had bad luck buying used gear online, and do you stick to certain sellers?

Bought a "mint condition" guitar once that sounded like a dying cat.

@daniel593 Check the truss rod first, those "mint" ones usually just sat in a closet.
