Spent 3 hours trying to stack nebula photos in DeepSkyStacker before realizing I forgot to take darks
I kept getting these weird gradients and stripes, wasted an entire clear night troubleshooting, has anyone else wasted a whole session on a dumb calibration frame mistake?

That's actually a pretty productive mistake, forces you to learn the process.

Read a piece in Wired about how debugging actually rewires your brain to think more logically over time. Makes sense because every time you fix something from scratch, you're building those mental muscles whether you realize it or not. Really changes how you look at mistakes when you see them as part of getting better.
