Just realized I've been framing moon shots way too tight for months

I was looking at my stacked moon photos from last month and noticed they look like a boring white ball. Then I saw someone's shot that included some tree silhouettes and landscape and it clicked, I was zooming in so much I lost all context. Anyone else make that mistake starting out?

Used to be totally in the "zoom in as much as possible" camp. Felt like a waste to have all that empty black space around the moon. But then I saw a shot where the moon was placed behind some power lines and it looked way more interesting. Finally clicked that the moon alone is just a bright circle, but putting it in a scene tells a story. Now I try to frame it smaller and let the environment do some work. Totally changed how I shoot at night.

Question is whether it matters that much in the end.
