Just got back from a week in the mountains. Tried astrophotography for the first time. My Andromeda galaxy photo is all fuzzy. Focus issue or mount problem?

So your Andromeda shot came out fuzzy... for a first try that's almost expected. The seeing conditions up there can be terrible even on clear nights, and if your mount wasn't perfectly leveled, everything drifts. Stacking enough exposures might save it, but honestly, astro is a patience game. I'd practice on something easier like the moon before jumping to deep sky... get the basics down.
