The 1987 census map that proved my town's grocery store lie

Found an old census tract map from 1987 at the county library archive last weekend. It showed our neighborhood was zoned as a food desert back then, but the local chain store has always claimed they've been here since '85. The map had actual delivery route lines from a mobile market van that ran until 1991. That's how they got away with it. Now I'm digging into the city planning records to see if the zoning ever changed. Has anyone else stumbled on an old document that completely flipped a local story you'd always believed?
