Rant: I bought a $30 'SEO keyword magic' tool that just Googled stuff for me
It literally just opened a browser and typed my phrases into the search bar, which I could have done myself in 5 seconds. Has anyone actually found an affordable tool that does something useful?

Wow, that's just a fancy way to get scammed. leej52 is right, you basically paid for a really slow finger.

That's rough, but honestly most cheap tools are just doing simple automation. The real work is in the analysis, not the search. You need something that groups keywords by topic and shows search volume. Even the free version of Google's own Keyword Planner gives you more than just raw results.
