My lawn's already halfway to a dirt patch, so maybe I'm not the best person to ask. Could be the only thing our street agrees on is how bad my grass looks.

Honestly a bad lawn is like a weird badge of honor on some streets. Mine looks terrible every August no matter what I do. At this point you could just lean into it and throw some wildflower seeds down. Bet the neighbors would talk about that even more.
