Just lost $200 on a 'premium' online course that was basically a YouTube playlist
I saw an ad for this course on 'advanced research methods' and it promised exclusive content and direct access to experts. The sales page looked really good, so I paid the $200 fee. When I logged in, it was just a bunch of links to free YouTube videos anyone could find, and the 'expert Q&A' was a dead forum with no replies from the last six months. The whole thing felt like a scam where they just repackaged free stuff. I tried to get a refund, but their policy said no refunds after you access the 'materials', which I did by just clicking the login button. It was a total waste and left me feeling pretty stupid for not checking reviews first. Has anyone else gotten burned by one of these fancy online courses that turned out to be empty?

File a chargeback with your bank, they usually side with you for digital goods.

Yeah "hope that works out for you" is code for 'good luck getting your money back buddy'. Might as well start praying to the PayPal gods now.
