Guy at the bakery told me my sourdough starter was 'too healthy'
Last Saturday he said my starter was fermenting too fast because I feed it twice a day, so I asked him if he’s ever actually baked a loaf that rose, and he just walked away - has anyone else run into bakery gatekeepers who think they know your process better than you do?

Bakery gatekeepers are the worst. That guy probably hasn't touched flour in a week. Some folks just love acting like they're the sourdough police for no reason.

Did you ever walk into a bakery and ask for a simple white loaf and get a 10 minute lecture on why you should try their einkorn instead? Honestly, that's the stuff that makes me wanna just buy bread at the gas station and call it a day. Ngl, the whole sourdough police vibe is just exhausting, let people eat whatever bread they want.
