Answered my first 100 questions in the Ask Anything board today
I just hit 100 answers on this board after starting back in March. I mostly reply to the small stuff nobody touches, like how to unclog a drain or what to do about a noisy neighbor. It took me 7 months to get there because I only answer when I actually know something useful. When I saw the counter flip to 100 I actually smiled, which is silly for a forum number. What keeps you answering stuff here, or do you mostly just read?
Seven months of only answering when you actually know something is probably why those 100 answers are worth more than someone cranking out 500 generic ones. I see it the other way on the "silly" part though, because that little jolt when the counter flips usually means you care about doing right by the person asking. For me reading is fine, but I only bother replying when I've actually dealt with the exact problem, so my count crawls along too.
