I used to walk right past the plain brown shard piles looking for coins and arrowheads, but after holding a Bronze Age pot piece with the maker's finger grooves still pressed into the clay, I now spend my whole Saturday sifting for pottery and I want to know if anyone else switched what they hunt for after a moment like that.
